Saw this video on Rock River Arms producing a bolt action rifle, but haven't seen anything else about it. Thought I'd share.

It looks like the 1911s are still in their website.

I've always been interested in the 20" National Match A2 style ARs. Just never get around to buying one though.

they started making them again somewhat Recently.
I’m not sure of what level they’re at now.
The originals before they started making AR’s were outstanding specimens.

I concur about their NM’s
I’ve shot one and it was a pleasure to shoot.

I've got one of the original RRA 1911's. I should get her out and fire a few mags.

The company was started by two brothers who were working with Les Baer Custom. One of the brothers passed away a number of years ago. Mark Larson I think?

A bolt action rifle from them may be interesting.

These caught my eye at SHOT and I got pretty mixed signals, one of the reps knew next to nothing about them other than they're new and the media guy was spouting off some pretty ridiculous price points. I didn't want to laugh at him, he was trying his damnedest to sound impressive.

They looked cool but pretty standard fare from what I remember, I'll dig up my pics from SHOT and post them later. Who knows if they will ever come to market.

That's our Whiskey-3 that they are using on one of the versions. Of course a lot of AR or other "outside" companies are jumping into the bolt gun arena.

However, we were impressed with their serious approach and desire for quality and top grade accuracy. Personally I've been pleased to not see the kind of stuff from them that prompted LawnMM's comment and I hope it stays that way!

Massoud,
Since it's one of your KRG Chassis on that rifle, is that a custom inlet for Rock River, or are they using a R700 Footprint for their actions?

I wonder if they decided against producing them? We're almost to SHOT 2020 and the rifles aren't on their website that I can find. I have one of their A2 NM uppers and it's very accurate. They used to use Wilson Arms barrels, I wonder if the bolt rifles would use them as well.

We worked it a couple different ways but beyond that I'll have to leave it to them to provide details.
Hopefully it works out well for them, by specs they should be quite solid.

Bringing this back from the dead as i was just in Walmart and saw that o e of these was featured in Guns&Ammo. It's the KRG version and it appears they've made some changes since SHOT, which could be the cause for delay.

That being said, the action bore a striking resemblance to the Origin action. It featured a barrel nut set up so there's that but an MSRP listed as just over $4,000 all i can think is why?

It shot about 1/2 MOA but you can put together a system with equal cabilities for half the price, ala Seekins Havoc Bravo.

Good luck RRA.

Without the separate recoil lug I’d say that’s a TL3. As far as MSRP being just north of $4k, if you manufacturer direct you’ve got $1250 in an action, and with the side folder $1400ish, plus trigger and barrel work...that’s pretty close. Besides, MSRP is always a little higher than street lol.

I had just scanned the article real quick while I was picking up some medicine and noticed the similarities with the vent porting on the side and bolt body. If it is based on the TL3 then I suppose the $4,000 price isn't too far off, it just seems strange that RRA is trying to wade into the higher end bolt action market with practically no experience, kind of like Nighthawk attempted to do.

That KRG build is the only gun on that wall that I'm interested in.?

Well they're finally listed on the Rock River Arms web site, RBG Series in .308, and 6.5 Creedmoor, price point: $4,150.00.

HA........Thats a horrible price point. Has anyone even seen how they shoot yet? Really, 4K for a gun that hasn’t even been tried in real life yet? I could go get a well known custom rifle to me for that price.

My thoughts exactly. I can go to Zermatt and KRG and get myself a really nice setup exactly how I want it for that price with all the trimmings, need, and want to haves, and I'll know exactly what I'll get. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a nice rig, but we are talking first time offer by that company in bolt action, no track record to base the price on.
