I have a 300 win mag, 6.5x47 and AR15 (.223). I am interested in getting a suppressor and the local shop sells AAC. I texted my builder of the two bolt guns to find out what the threads are for my Little Bastard muzzle brakes but am hoping to go quick detach with those rifles and one 30 cal (300 win mag rated) suppressor. What is the best way to do this? I will be using it for shooting steel and hunting but also hunting out of state without it. I am also leaning towards something light like titanium.

I have been researching the same matter. While I have gotten some good feed back about the ACC, it does not seem to be designed for longer range precision.

AAC Mk-13 SD. The only issue is you couldn't use it on the 5.56. It's proprietary muzzle brake is threaded for 5/8x24 and M18x1 and M18x1.5. It also uses the 90T ratchet mount that locks up pretty solid. I'd give Silencer Co a call and ask them about their new Harvester. It's a direct thread but able to change thread adapters and is lighter than the Specwar 762. All three are good cans but the Specwar 762 and Harvester appear the only ones that are going to suit all three calibers you listed. The Specwar will be the heaviest but it works really well. Just my two cents.

I will be picking up a SAS Ti Reaper here in a few weeks. Light suppressor, rated for 300 winmag, has brakes available for any threading. Until I get my 338BA in I'll be using it on all of my calibers .30 and below. Mile High Shooting has them and is a Hide sponsor so you can get a discount.

don't buy an SDN-6. Please don't. You can not listen to me and live in wonderland. Or you can take my word for it. Mine is a paperweight. I use it like a pirate scope when I am bored browsing the classifieds. I wish i could get $500 out of it. I'd take it to a pawn shop if that was legal.

Care to elaborate? Just curious whats the issue, thought the SDN6 was supposed to be pretty good.

Read the SDN6 wiggleage thread in the suppressor sub forum, I'd link it to you but I'm on a mobile. My issue is partially my fault in that I don't trust myself with power tools but the idea that I need to modify sometnkng from the factory to get it to run correctly disturbes me.

I wanted to be polite, whereas 'peaceatwar' didn't want to sugar coat it.

There is really no way to sugar coat my conversations with AAC. I might just as well been talking to a concrete wall. They didn't care that I was having trouble with the 51t mount, all they could tell me was how many they sell to the government.

Now, that said, I have 2 of them and one the gunsmith that built my wife's rifle worked on the mount and it works very well now. The other I had Mike Bush weld the brake to the can to make it a direct thread-on and now it works very well. But again, why should the end user have to fix their mistakes.

I'm sure there are people that have them and they work straight out of the box, but neither one of mine did, so 100% of my dealing with AAC has been bad.

This is why I have a Thunderbeast 7 months deep in the paperwork.

"I wish I could get $500 out of it." If I could get half of that I would move out of a paperweight.

Every wonder why ever gun shop that sells suppressors typically have AAC products - I do and drank the cool-aide the first time around with a suppressor - AAC M4/2000 and the 51T (bastard). I have probably 4 of those mounts and everyone is different as far as getting the suppressor to mount on it without wiggling. I also called AAC and was told basically that a little wiggle is not an issue unless it works its way totally off...well duh, but what I can say is I have had issues with wandering rounds while shooting as it wiggles its way off the mount - AKA, accuracy sucks!

I told all my friends and anyone that would listen - AAC is now the Walmart of suppressors - they are everywhere and sold by everyone so they saturate the market and sale quantity but quality - very debatable. And, then I tell them, the majority of good suppressors come from manufacturers you have never heard of.

When you buy a suppressor you are married to it until death do you part. Do your due diligence in research before buying a suppressor and if you know people that have some ask them and try them out. I can tell you that I have since purchased Thunderbeasts and can't be happier.

Alright I know what you talking about now. I have a 762sd and the wiggle issue sucks beyond belief. I have had to mod the brakes as well to try and get them to the next tooth to take out the wobble. Sucks even worse then that is my can was in a run where the ratchet didnt get heat treated right or some crap and the teeth rounded off. Can is back at AAC for warranty as I type this. I will say I am happy with the cans suppression but the QD leaves a lot to be desired.

If I were to go AAC again it would be a direct thread on can.
