RRA Compatibility

The really old Bushmaster BAR10 uppers will (probably) fit since that was the original design which RRA acquired for their large frame ARs. Other than that, you're stuck with RRA.

Their uppers/lowers, Bolt carrier groups, recoil system, and extension tubes are all proprietary due to the design being based on the use of FN FAL magazines. Barrel nut and handguards are different as well. They do use standard AR15 trigger groups, at least my old Bushmaster does. Don't know about barrels. If you need a heavy buffer, Heavybuffers.com can make you one. I don't know of any other aftermarket parts available for them but I haven't really searched lately either. When my old Bushmaster bolt bit the dust, I had to buy a complete RRA BCG to fit it. The new bolt was beefed up in the area that failed on my old one.

ETA: They are fairly high quality guns IMO, and their AR15s are pretty much on the same standard build spec as anybody else's AR15's. I have gotten very good accuracy out of my BAR10. Elfster on here seems to have a very high opinion of RRA's quality/accuracy as well.

My 20" varmint is 100% a sub .5moa hammer with the correct reloads. It's my go to rifle for testing accuracy. I've owned 4 of them so far and each has been under .75moa consistently

When's the last time you bought a quality complete upper?
$440 is cheap if that's what it is.
Yeah I don't know where that $440 figure came from. Cheapest LAR8 .308 upper assembly I could find on their website is $645
