I just got a RRA LAR-8 Predator HP with Advance Half Quad Rail and Operator A2 stock and gas buster charging handle. LOVE THE GUN - Beautifuly made!!!
Now the issue. The FAL mag that came from RRA slides in and out and locks in flawlessly. I just ordered the IMI FAL Mags from Sportsman Guide and all 3 fit differently. All three were varying degrees of "too big". One barely fit and locked in, one almost fit, and one wouldn't even go in. I read some message boards and they praise these mags, but wondering if anyone has had issues or any recc.
Here is what I have so far:
RRA: Will have their own 10,20,30 round FAL mags early next year.
DSA: There are two mags currently being sold from DSA, the 5 and 10 round. I heard the 5 rounds had trouble ejectign with the RRA, but not the 10 round one. I bought two of those and are going to block them to be 5 round mags for hunting.
They are currently making some new 10, 20,30 round that will come out arly next year.
What A Country: They have Austrian and Belgian, and one that is Argentine/Brazilian.
Any feedback?
