RRA Lar-8 free floating

Can a 2 piece free floating handguards be put on the 20" LAR-8 A4? from what I can tell the barrel is not free floated from the handguards from the factory.

Yes but you have to make sure that whane you get the handguard you make sure the handguard comes with the barrel nut for the Rock Riverf LAR-8 as is is specific to the RR. I have a 20" A4 RR LAR-8 and I had it ordered with the Daniels Defence full length tube but RR had an issue with DD, don't know the full story. They ran out of the DD tubes so I got the RR Advanced Free float handguard (see their web site). I'm still working up some loads but its running 1 MOA or less as an average. This is with the standard 20" barrel.
