I caught the "upgrade your Ruger" fever and recently obtained a Kidd barrel and have ordered a Kidd trigger group. Now I think I would like to replace the standard Ruger stock. Any recs from those of you who have gone thru the process. I will be doing some benchrest plinking and some small varmint hunting - and I want to get something that will aid in accuracy. So, if funds are only a secondary concern at this point what would you suggest?

Re: Ruger fever

I'd probably do a replacement bolt and firing pin before a stock or at least have the stock Ruger ones reworked. My 10/22 sits in a McMillian 10/22 sporter stock which I really like.

Re: Ruger fever

Definatly get the Kidd bolt or re-work the factory. Kidd will include upgraded firing pin and extractor.

I've got mine in a Boyds thumb hole, fits me well for offhand shooting.
Also look at Stocky's

Re: Ruger fever

Mine is all Kidd except for the receiver, in a BC anschutz stock with a 24x jap tasco....love it...check out the Kidd pin kit to fasten the trigger group to the receiver, works well...The BC stock is a little heavy to carry around, but I like it.
