Just ordered an RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor and excited. I have never had a chassis rifle (if that's the right term??); I love the idea of modular design like AR15 to where I can change components. From all Ive heard a Timney trigger would be great. However, first order of business is to get a bipod. Would appreciate any recommendations. Since I'm starting with a 10+ pound rifle I guess light weight would be helpful. Also, if you have any other really essential accessories please recommend, thanks.

As an aside, my local gun store said RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor was unobtanium and if I ever found one expect list price ($1599) or close to it. I made several calls with no luck and then called Bud's Gun Store. They had two left, one cam0, I took black. Price was $1,095 with free shipping.

Personally I just run Harris bipods, an HBRMS is a 6-9 swivel bipod with notched legs, its 95-105 dollars. If youre only shooting off of a bench then the swivel isnt important and you could go HBRM for around 70. You can upgrade to an atlas for some additional features but I find the harris is solid and dependable at a minimal comparative expense, Ive never really wanted anything else out of it.
