Ruger Precision Rimfire - Recommended Upgrades?

Hi guys,

I know, I know, “sell it and buy a CZ”, “buy a vudoo” etc.

This rifle is going to be a loaner for folks interested in trying NRL22. It is meant to represent the base class so no trigger mods.

I would cut the factory trigger spring down by a coil or two. Costs nothing and is easy to do.... and doesn't drop the weight to anything too dangerous for a beginner. Especially if you want to experiment half a coil at time.

I would have bought the Ruger American Long Range or the Target Stainless model initially. I have zero trust in the RPRR' handguard/barrel mate up nonsense it has going on.

Don’t sell it ALL rimefires have issues just the nature of them I have cheep Savages that will outshoot my Bergara b14r and my CZ 457 I have an older 10/22 heavy barrel that is a tack driver at 100yrds and MKii & 93 that are also extremely accurate.Its just the luck of the draw on rimefires.

I would have bought the Ruger American Long Range or the Target Stainless model initially. I have zero trust in the RPRR' handguard/barrel mate up nonsense it has going on.

That puts it closer to CZ 457 territory and I've got an MTR and Manner MTR set up for adults. This RPR will be lighter and easier to adjust for youth shooters.

The hand guard also facilitates the arca rail easily so that a new shooter could borrow / try and accessories most of us are using now

It's just the luck of the draw on rimefires.

Ain't that the truth. . . my CZ 457 MTR shoots at least as good as my Vudoo 360
