Rugged Surge 762 vs. Hyperion QD 7.62

Looking to get one of the two above suppressors for both bolt and gas operated rifles. I don't see a lot of discussion on the Rugged 762, but their warranty is outstanding. Hyperion is direct mount, and Rugged is not.
Any insights on how and what I should consider in the decision?

I have a Surge and it is well made with a very solid mounting system. Good tone and suppression in that department as well. It is built like a tank and heavy as you would expect a heavy use suppressor to be. Mag dumps and full auto welcome.

I don't have a Hyperion, but it seems more in the precision bolt gun class and lighter weight. If you want this for semi auto, I'd say Surge all day long, if you want a light can for hunting and slow fire precision it is a different animal. I have TBAC Ultras on those rigs and love them. I am not a fan of direct thread.

These are two very different suppressors.

The Hyperion is titanium and very quiet.

The Surge is belt fed rated, modular and its not that quiet even in the full configuration compared to other options.

The Hyperion on a gas gun will not be ideal. It has significant back pressure.

The surge in the short configuration would be decent on a gas gun as it has relatively lower back pressure.

A Helios QD (ti or inconel depending on what you want) would be a better choice than the Hyperion. The Helios qd is quieter than the Surge in the full configuration on 308.

Nomad 30 is another good option. It will have similar suppression to a the Surge L and better than the S configuration with lower back pressure.
