What's a fair market value for this scope? I have a chance to buy one that is in very good to excellent condition. Non illuminated model; mild reticle; turrets 1/4 MOA dial. I know this scope is used by some military units and only issued in small numbers. Not sure if the 42 mm objective bell is going to compromising the low light condition, but it seems quite ideal for a light weight setup. Appreciate any direct experience with this version.

It's hard to put a value on it sight unseen, S&B's can range in value but you'll probably be looking at the mid to high-2000's for a desirable configuration, that being said the MOA adjustments combined with a mildot reticle is antiquated. Personally, I'd check out a new NF 4-16 ATACR or a Leupold Mk5 3-18 that will run you about the same amount of money, if not less, but with great performance, better features, and reticles.
It's not a military outflow scope with two digits and 2D graph on the side. It has the DT elevation tower similar current 5-25x56 DT config. The Mil/MOA set up bugs me too. I will see what a price I can get at to make it worth. It will be below 2k before I will pull the trigger...
