Grrr.
For some reason S&B hates me. Just recieved my new 5-25 mtc/lt/lp which is the 3rd one with same configuration i have Got...decided to go with the same on all rifles for simplicity.
Ón this one the elevation Will not zero.....it is as if the turret newer comes loose after loosening the Allen screws. I had the EXACT same problem with the last one and had to send it S&B ...and with normal german resolve it took Them 3 months to return it.
I know that this has been and issue with many of these scopes and wantet to know if anyone has solved the problem... Before I try to solve it with a pretty Big hammer. Since I am damn Well not sending it to be fixed......and waiting Ages for it to come back. I do know that in the US they fix it on site...and a friend had one fixed by a scopesmith....and it took him less than 5 minutes so it cannot be a Big issue....

Hope someone has Info that Can help...before i og nuts and try with a hammer.

I think it is very important to read the directions. I agree that you have to lift the turret slightly prior to zero'ing but also retighten the set screws. Then, once zero is completed, loosen and lower the turret, then reset the turret. I hope this helps. I know Lowlight has a fix for this as well. Jerry Ricker is also very helpful and very responsive. I am sure it is just a matter of doing it correctly.

As I wrote I have 3 of these... One Was fixed, one never had the problem....and Then this one that is broken... I know very Well How to zero Them when they are not broken...
