If you’ve used both, how is the quality between these two brands?
I’m not set up for reloading 6.5CM yet but want to start shooting with my new CTR sooner rather than later. Thinking of either getting the Hornady American Gunner 140gr OR the S&B FMJBT 140gr as some cheap plinking ammo which would serve to break in the barrel, get a rough zero, and then save the brass for reloading.
As the question alludes to, only thing that would make my decision is the quality of the brass that I will work with after all has been shot. Hornady is a little more expensive but if the brass is substantially better, then I’d go that route.
