SAC Modular Sizing AI?

I’m using the sac die for my 7-08 and am looking to rechamber to Ackley Improved. SAC does not make an AI neck/shoulder bushing for the 7-08 but they do make one for the 280 AI. The shoulder angle is the same and the neck diameter is correct. The shoulder to body width is also the same.

Does anyone see a reason this will not work?


I don’t know if their bushings are actually the same since they are for two different families and designed to fit in two different dies.

Best thing to do is ask SAC. The shoulder bushings are likely universal fitting into their dies.

But, the distance from the neck/shoulder junction and the shoulder/body junction is different from the 7mm-08 and the 280 rem is different. That may or may not affect the sizing. SAC should be able to tell you.
