SAC: Surgeon XL Sentinel Stock 338LM!

Shooters, I just finished up a few builds last week and figured I would show some pictures. This build turned out great and I had the pleasure of working with some new manufactures on this build.

This is the second barrel I have used by Brux barrels. I was so impressed that I went ahead and ordered a few barrels. This barrel and the previous by Brux were extremely straight, the O.D. of the barrel was extremely concentric to the I.D. of the bore to about .0005" and the finish was great.

I also got to use one of the new Terry Cross Sentinel stocks with the updates. This stock was pretty nice and had some great features.

Here are the specs.

Surgeon XL 338 Lapua Mag action
Terry Cross Sentinel CIP 338 Bottom Metal
Brux 1-9.5" Special contour for the Sentinel stock barrel profile
Terry Cross Sentinel stock
Custom thread protector, threading for 3/4 x 24 TPI for suppressor.
Epoxy Pillar Bedded for Surgeon XL Action
All metal was Patriot Brown with Black accents.

nice looking rifle, my NM is going to look very similar but built around the 700 action, and a bit lighter color cerakote.

The barrel actually was a 26" finish.

That is one beautiful rig. I really dig the black accents on the action. Is it just me or is the forearm of the stock a little on the short side? Makes the barrel look longer than 26" to me. Maybe it's just an optical illusion.

What are your plans for optics?

The customer put on a Black Anodized Vortex Razor HD 5-20-50.

I believe the forend is around 11.5 " from the recoil lug area.

I believe so, I have not ordered one in yet, but I think they are offering them now.

I actually took the Vortex off. I put my USO 5-25x56 on it. Works out much better. You built a hammer, again!

This rifle came together just perfect. The parts, the machining quality, and I am very happy with the barrel choice. Brux has sent me a couple barrels and my first one was a 300WM barrel. I was so impressed with its quality and accuracy that I wanted to try them out for a 338 build. A 3 week delivery time doesn't hurt at all!

First rate components assembled and customized by an awesome 'Smith! Who wouldn't be pleased? Looks great. I forsee longer lead times in the near future for SAC.
