Barrelled action for sale built by Short action Customs in 6.5 CM. Never fired or put in a chassis or stock since coming back from SAC. Before sending to Sac, bought from an old man that used it one season for hunting and only sited it in. I was going to use it for PRS before I decided to go a different route. Looking to get what I paid for to SAC plus barrel blank from Bartlein. $1500 zellpay or postal MO
Included as follows:
Tikka T3X action sn Y76422

LRI bolt with M16 extractor.

Stock trigger

Bartlein MTU 5R 1:8 twist chambered with SAC 6.5cm tactical reamer throated for Hornady 143 ELD-M

Smith,
You paid SAC for "accurizing" work on a T3x?

Thread crapping isn’t allowed, so knock it off.

Free bump, OP.

Truing the face of a Tikka isn’t necessary, but it is a somewhat common practice when swapping to a custom barrel. This is because Tikkas have a small chamfer at the front of the receiver which reduces the diameter of the receiver face. Because of this, if you put on a barrel that’s the full diameter of the receiver, you’ll have an odd little crevice and (technically) you’ll lack full shoulder support for the new barrel.

Your options are: you can stick to slightly smaller diameter barrels, you can live with a strange misfit between barrel and receiver which reduces shoulder support, or you can “true” the face of the receiver to remove the chamfer. All three make sense depending on your end goal.
