I bought a Sage stock for a M1A and just discovered that my Sadlak Mount will not work without modifying one or the other. Don't think I want to go that route so I'm looking at new scope mounts. The Larue looks OK but is not fixed at the rear. From my reading the Sage Detachable Cantilevered Sight Base is screwed down in the rear. Anyone have any experience with these?

Why not use the mount that replaces the stripper clip guide and the forward rail section on the upper handguard? This is the way I mounted it up when I had mine.

Which one is that?
