I’m looking for a dedicated 5.56 can to be used primarily on ar’s. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either one of these. Also, does anyone have any experience with the tomb mounting system and have you had any trouble with them coming loose? The Eadrom Mx looks great on paper weight wise, but I don’t have any experience with taper mounts. The Saker k is full auto rated vs the Eadrom not being, but this isn’t currently a necessity.

Personally I wouldn't buy a 5.56 can, especially if you own an AR. I would think ahead and go 308, 300 B/O is where a rifle can really shines ! That's where you get close to hollywood movie quiet.

As for the mounting systems...
ASR - is a QD system and is very quick & easy to switch from rifle to rifle
TOMB - is a thread on (screw on) system

For me personally TOMB for more precision work and ASR for ease of use...

I know it’s not much help but I’ve been very happy with my SAS Sentinel, and it is a pre MX baffle. It’s a .556 can but is 7”. I personally like having the dedicated .556, makes the paperwork issue a lot easier since it stays on 1 AR and the paperwork remains in the hollow handle so I never have to worry, with my .308 can it’s a different story since it’s shared by different rifles. The SAS cans can do full auto but I think is limited to a mag dump or 2 and not fully sustained, it’s something I’ll never need.

Truthfully I’ll never need full auto either. I already have a .30 cal can and have no intentions of ever shooting .300 blackout. I will probably end up with another can for bolt guns at some point but for now I’m just wanting something to keep short ar’s tamed down a bit. I appreciate the input. I’m also considering just going with the YHM Turbo K and possibly switching to a Griffin Mount to keep it short.

I have the saker 556k asr and am fairly impressed with it for the price point. I have had zero issues with the asr mount as well. It stays on a 12.5” 556 upper and it is hearing safe to my ears with all the ammo i have fed it. I have noticed my reloads are a little quieter than the hot stuff. Either way, i like the can more and more as i use it more and i feel like it was a great purchase.
