Hey guys,
I generally shoot Hornady Match/Precision Hunter , but it is getting very difficult to find where I live. Aside from crappy quality ammo, there is still some Sako Gamehead/Deerhead ammunition around at very reasonable prices. Does anyone have experience shooting this?

I shoot a T3x and T3x Varmint in 6.5 Creedmoor, so the Sako/Tikka compatibility should be good.

Concur on Finns usually having their crap together - Scandinavians in general, come to that. Whether the bullet construction/design are what you want for what you're shooting...well, better than yelling "bang," at least.

My experience with PPU has been good in 7.5 Swiss, .30-06, 6.8 SPC...not sure I've run it in 6.5 CM. S&B has been solid for me in both 6.8 SPC and 6.5 CM, so that's another option to look at for punch paper (at least).

Sako ammo is what is used to proof shoot Sako rifles for their 5 shot 1 moa guarantee.

Some reloaders don't like Sako brass, it seems to be a bit thicker and softer in the neck compared to others. I've never had any trouble and have shot my tightest groups with it.

Sako, Norma and Lapua brass is what I prefer for my reloading, depending on cartridge of course. Only ever found Nosler for my 280AI but the fire formed 280 Rem Norma cases works very well.

To conclude. If Sako ammo doesn't shoot well in your rifle, I would say it is by chance, not because it is inferior.

I've heard good things about it. Their ammo from what I gather uses Vhitavouri powder and I believe I read Norma bullets but I'm not 100% certain on that, FWIW I read it on a Sako page on Facebook. It must be decent, they build their guarantee for their rifles on it. I may try some in the future for the 85.

I've never had a bad product with the name Sako on it.

I’ve Got another e-mail from EuroOptic with Sako deals. Damn near went and bought a Bavarian Carbine with full Mannlicher stock in .308. Good thing internet is shitty in the stand and I left my wallet in the truck.
