Hi all,
Picked up some boxes of what I thought I would never get, Sako TRG Precision, 338 Lapua, 300gr SMKs. My 42 loved them beyond reason printing .488 moa 5 shot groups at 100m and just over 3.65” at 1000m.
My question is, what powder did they use? I’m confident they used a VV powder (ie, N570) but neither Sako nor Beretta will respond to my emails or phone calls regarding their load data since they’ve apparently discontinued that line, they have it for every other caliber in the long action/magum that they offer 300 winnie and 9.3mm on the site.
Anyone got some insight on this? Or should I just work with N570 and see what it does? Would love to make these rounds myself instead of the $10/rd I paid and trying to find the ammo.
Thank you
