These m80 variants are basically the same price on ammoseek. I'm looking to buy another case for range. I'll be using an AR type rifle with an 18" barrel. Has anyone compared these two? Is there a real difference in performance or are they comparable? Thanks in advance. I know I could but a box of each, but I'd rather save the hassle and extra expense and buy a full case at a time.

The Saltech appears to be more consistent and accurate for me.
The Igman seems to be “hotter”, but groups wider.
I have not chronographed them side by side to verify as fact.

For whatever reason - my Ruger SFAR does not like the Igman, but has no problem with the Saltech.
None of my other .308s care.

Thank you for the reply. What is the issue in the SFAR, if you don't mind. My M&P10 only ever had issues with ZQ1 that was under pressured and short stroked. I've not had issues with anything else, steel or brass.

The jury is still out on why my particular SFAR has issues with Igman but nothing else. There are a couple of SFAR threads where everybody and their brother is shitting on the Rugers - but no definitive answers as to why.

i’ve shot igman thru a sig 716i and its horrible, like 2-3” at 50yds with a larue trigger, aimpoint 2moa and rested.

i tried it with a scope at 100 yards as well with the same moa pattern

the only “good” m80 type i’ve found is the 147gr privi but its all gone for now.

if you dont mind $1/round ammo, try the GGG 150gr HPBT
