Ordered a Savage 10FCP LE McMillian .308 and I need recommendations on a 20moa scope base.

I've had mixed experience with the EGW mounts. The rails were fine, but questionable quality of the fasteners included. I'd carefully test thread the picatinny rail bolts without the rail first. Be careful not to exceed recommended torque specifications.

"Savage shooter here too, shhhh don't tell anybody"......I really like my Badger Steel Base's and my Seekins bases. I've got two of the "cheaper" 20moa Nightforce's and while one was perfect, the other had rough left over aluminum edges between the picatinny slots so bad I had to scrape them off with a razor blade so the scope mount cross lug bolt would sit flush. I'm still using it with zero issues but c'mon Nightforce! I will never buy those bases again. Also I've not had good luck with EGW bases either as I had one that was obviously warped kind of twisted you might say....and on the cheap as fuck side, I've had two Weaver bases that have been flawless as well not needing any bedding and fitting every bit as well to the action as bases that cost 10 times as much just be careful as they are sold in both weaver spec slots and picatinny. But me having been down the road of trying to save money on optic mounts, Id say skip the others and go for the top "tier" stuff like Badger, Seekins, and the better Nightforce ones. Locktite blue your pic rails too as I just spent last weekend at the range with a buddy who's gun went from shooting .5"groups to 5" groups. Low and behold his pic rail wasn't locktited from the "nationally acclaimed" custom gun shop that installed it. wtf.

After wasting time and money on a two piece that left ring marks on everything mounted to it, I picked up a one peice Ken Farrell steel base. 20moa, I think. Liked it enough to bed it straight to the action. No release agent, its not going anywhere. Done deal.

Actually, I had no choice but to bed. The rear bridge of the action was 0.024" lower than the front. No wonder I was getting bad ring marks.

For me, Badger/Nightforce-Warne bases, probably in that order. Those are the ones I use on my Savage 10’s, and so far so good. Warne is a decent base, but the only one that needed bedding... the others didn’t need it at all.

One "I" in McMillan.

I like steel. Nightforce makes such things. Make sure you get one with a recoil lug, and THEN..make sure the lug is actually bearing. It won't be. Come back and ask how to solve that.
