For the money, I'd actually go w/the Armalite AR-30 in .338.
But I do loves me some salvage rifles... my 18.5" folder has long been my favorite gun to take to the range with my Thundertrap.

There's a write up in the new American Rifleman I just got looks good. I looked at the Armalite but I don't care for the stock

I like the Savage BA line up, but I wish they hadn't discontinued the 110 FCP-K in .300 Win. Mag. in the process. The BA's are a bit radical, and won't appeal to everyone. Also, they are much more expensive. Now, if you want a .300 Win. Mag. in a Tactical rifle from Savage, you've got the BA's, and that's it. I like more traditional Tactical rifles. I'm really glad I purchased my .300 Win. Mag. 110 FCP-K when I did. Bill T.

how do you like the rifle so far? I picked one up as well in 300 wm ,but I have not shot it that much yet, I'm still working up a load for it.
didn't know that they discontenued it though, I wonder why?

I am torn on which one to buy between Armalite's AR-30 and the Savage BA 110. Each are the same price. Anyone have any input?

I got to play with a bas 308, it felt really really good! The price is ridiculous though. The trigger is a huge step up from the 12 300wsm I have, stock had a nice design. I wanted one but found to good is a deal on a 5r.

Bill have you tried the Savage Custom Shop for the rifle that you described? They will likely make it. Ask for Effie.

Just Bought a 110Ba in .300 Win. Can't wait to get it .
Got that , and a Trijicon 232g Scope. Scope is on order then waiting for bore sight etc...

You guys are really making me want one of these. I threw up a thread asking if anyone has shot both the AR-30 and the 110BA but no responses yet.
I am looking to get one in 300 win mag but wouldn't pass up a good deal on the 338 either. Beautiful looking guns and I have heard great reviews on both of them.

We had a Savage day here at our range. We all got a chance to shoot the BA 110. Three of our employees each bought one! We thought they shot great! We only shot out to 400 yards but everyone was dead nuts on! If you like the looks (I do) you should go for it.

About 70 Rounds through mine , and I love it.. Great gun.. Kind of wish I'd have gotten some other scope aside from trijicon.
