Picked this demo up at Cabelas for $645 out the door. I don't have much money to sink into this weapon. Seems like the accustock is barely clearing the barrel on the end and needs to be relieved .250. I will be going with some sort of 1 piece mount. The Scope will be a Burris Euro Diamond 3-12X50 for now.
I found very little on search.....anyone have this gun in .300WM?
My Savage 12 in .308 shoots 5 shot 1/2-1 MOA all day long so I'm assuming this new gun can at least pull MOA.

Re: Savage 110 FCP-K .300 win mag

I own one, it shoots quite well, it is a true .75 moa out of the box rifle, I have shot better but most often .75 to .5 average. running 175 amax and 178 burgers. i did fit mine with a cheek rest, weaver one pc 20 moa rail and weaver tactical rings. Only thing, I just would have liked if it came with a more than 3 rnd mag and if that mag could except longer c.o.a.l. rounds as I can't reach the lands of the rifling and still use the mag.

I have one of these models. You got a very good deal on it. The dealer cost on those were $648 a little over a year ago. Savage has since switched to the Long Range Hunter. I used a EGW 20 MOA Picatinny rail (aluminum) with Burris XRT's (low).

Mine really shoots lights out. I am a novice at best, and it shot under MOA (5 shot groups) with old hunting ammo I was using for barrel break in.

I went CHEAP with the scope (Vortex Crossfire 8-32x50), but it's held up well.

Thanks for the relpies. It was somewhat of a impulse buy. Cabelas had a grand opening so a bunch of demo guns got put out as used. I'm not into hunting for legged animals so a heavy static type bolt gun is what I preffered anyway. Would love to have a sedero...tikka etc but its just not worth the cost to me. Thats a huge bummer on the COL being limited in the mag.......I hate single feed.

So the 20 MOA makes it so you can get zero at say 800m+? How bad does that fk up your 100-400m?

I'm not having any problems. I have it zeroed for 100 yards. My goal is to shoot it at 1000 yards one day, and I didn't want to run out of elevation. I'm a noobie, so that may not have been the right decision. My "theory" was to use a ballistic program that allowed for my 20 MOA base to get me on paper at various ranges out to a 1000 yards. I would then tweak the MOA's to get it right on, and make my drop chart. That was how I was advised.
