Firearms Savage 220 slug gun w/optics left handed

Bought new for my kid, used on a few hunts, still looks new. He prefers muzzle loader season here so it doesn't get used. Set up right with a Nikon Slug Hunter scope on a rail. Only ever tried Hornady ammo and it was a tackdriver. Best setup IMHO for slug states. Asking 600 shipped w/optics.

those were always accurate guns! I think the straight walled cartridge laws did a number on the deer slug industry. Had one when I lived in upstate NY

I agree. Iowa has now allowed straight walled cartridges. I think a bunch of people still use their slug guns, even smooth bores. I've not jumped yet, I have a friend with a 450 Bushmaster, his will not shoot as good as this gun. I also think the 220 recoils less. Some states and metro areas still are slug only. These still are efficient deer killers, I had a 12 gauge version for many years, that killed on both ends

If I'm not mistaken, I believe those Slug Hunter scopes are discontinued now as well. Great optic with the BDC for slug guns. Nice set-up!
