Savage .308 scope/ring/mount elevation question.

So I have a Savage .308, A Vortex Rasor HD 5-20X and Vortex rings.

I want to stretch the .308 out until it becomes transonic (guessing 1200 or so yards).

I will be loading 175gr SMKs and Berger VLDs.

Am I going to need a mount that provides more elevation than what my current set up is capable of?

Yes. I have a Savage 10 fcp in .308, I went with a Seekins 20 moa base.
