anyone here own the savage lrp 6.5 creedmoor with the hs precision stock and bull barrel? how well do they shoot out to long distances? how do you like yours? what scopes are you runnin on yours? really leaning towards this over a rem 700p in .308 thoughts? will be punching paper and ringing steel only

A buddy of mine had one, it shot great. For a scope he had a Bushnell G2DMR. Overall he liked it. He had the older model with the more classic style HS stock, and quickly upgraded to a McRee chassis.

Strictly talking factory rifles, I personally would rather have the LRP in 6.5cm over the 700P in 308.

I have a LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor and completely happy with it. Have a SWFA 12x scope on it. Easy and accurate to shoot even with factory ammo. My wife just shot it for the first time last weekend and was hitting steel at 500 yds no problem.
