A friend of mine recently bought a Savage 93 FV. It is a accurate little rifle for a .22 mag, but it will not cycle the rounds out of the magazine unless the push up on the bottom of the mag. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a fix for it. It was bought brand new so I don't think it is any worn out parts. I had a similar problem with a Ruger Mini 14 I had but the mag was just worn out. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Is the bolt open or closed when you put the mag in?
A lot of times when you have a full mag and put it in with the bolt closed it will not seat perfect. Very common with more than just savages.
Open the bolt than put the mag in. This is the normal operation.
