Savage anschutz mark 12 problem?

So I've had this anschutz mark 12 22. For a long time, I used to shoot 22 matches when I was a kid. Since I've had it I've always had to hand feed the shell right into the chamber. If u drop a shell in and try to close the bolt it jams 100% of the time. Is it supposed to be like this? Anyone have any experience with one of these?

I don't have a Mark 12. I do have other Anschutz and haven't had any issues with feeding like you describe. I have the 1813 which is single shot and I have used a single shot adapter in my 1710, 1712 and Exemplar without any issue with just dropping a round onto the adapter.

Have you confirmed where the hangup is?

What I can see there isnt any form of feed ramp and hasn't ever been since I've owned it (15+years)

I see what you mean, that looks like a bit of a drop. Here is my Walther Sportmodell. I don't have a photo of the 1813 but it's like this photo.
