Savage front sight options

I find myself at a place where I have given away all of my 22s to new shooters. And now I am thinking of one again.

I like the Savage TR and the MKII with the tumbhole stock. The only problem is that neither come with irons, and that is a must for me when it comes to my 22s.

Rear sights are not a problem, I could go with a Martins rear, or something rail mounted. The problem is the front sight. The last time I had a rifle drilled and tapped for irons it cost me 3 months and $150 for a cheap set of williams. Wasn't happy there and would like to avoid that if possible.

Does anyone know any front sight options for the non-tapped savages?
