Savage makes a 338 Lapua?

    Stumbled across this today. I didn't realize they had a 338 Lapua Magnum. I wonder if it is a new receiver, or if they crammed it into their current long action.

    I'm sure that they finaly have , the Savage reciever is as strong if not stronger than the Rem 700 (shallower threads) , I'm not exactly sure what the bolt heads are made from but its some pretty tough shit.

    I know Kevin Rayhill has been building Lapua based rounds on Savages for years with no problems
