I'm looking for a Savage Mark II bore guide. I google around and found references to a Sinclair one and a Possum Hollow one, neither of which I could find for sale anywhere. Could somebody please tell me what bore guides they use with their Mark II's? It doesn't have to be branded specifically for the Mark II, just one that works well with it. I'm trying to keep solvent out of my receiver/stock. Thanks!

Turn the rifle bottom side up and put a folded paper towel between the receiver & scope to catch the drips until you can acquire a bore guide that works.

I generally clean my rifles with the bipod on so I don't need 3 hands, so if a bore guide is available, I'd like to go that route.
Why would a universal one not work? The one I have can't remember maker (but it body is dark red) I think it is a pro shot. I feel like it should fit the Mark II but not sure havn't used it for my Mark II mostly used on my .308. The only thing I colud think of is maybe the body with the adapeter for the small rod will not go into the action. Just wondering cause if mine don't work I'll also need to pick up one.
