I know its been done before but here is my version. Action is a Savage MKII FV-SR, stock is from a Well G96 airsoft rifle. The suppressor is a fake I picked up off Ebay for $20, I thought it kind of completed the look and this is just a range toy so I figured why not. The scope is just something I grabbed off of another rifle, eventually I'd like to get a decent mil/mil scope for this. Anyhow it's quite sturdy since I beefed up many areas where the toy stock was lacking and its really a pleasure to shoot. It gets a lot of attention at the range, you can see the confusion on the faces of fellow shooters... bewildered they eventually come up and ask "is that a .22???" I'd like to say thanks to the others that have tackled this project before me and posted here, gave me a lot of ideas and saved me a lot of time.

I removed some material for bolt clearance so that the action would sit as low as possible in the chassis, the stock must be folded to remove the bolt from the action.

Looks good. I did one similar but the dang thing is canted so it bothers the crap out of so much so that I ve not touched it since. I would really like a simple houge stock or hell it may just go back in the wood however great work.

Here is the linkage allowing the airsoft mag catch to work the Savage mag catch.

Fake mag I made out of plastic to cover up the little .22 magazine

I used a piece of 1in boxed aluminum tubing to reinforce the airsoft frame and provide mounting locations

Here is the frame after duracoating

Partially disassembled - I engineered it so that the action could be removed without having to mess with the stock skins. To remove the action all I have to do is remove the two screws that hold the fake mag in place, drive out the pin holding the mag catch and unhook the linkage... and then I can remove the three screws holding the action in.

The airsoft stocks monopod was a bit of a joke so I ripped apart an old Harris bipod I had laying around and created a more functional design

How does it shoot? Looks like a great project!

Very happy with it, stock feels good and solid, the accutrigger is nice. I haven't been able to obtain any match ammo for it yet but it generally groups about 1in at 50yrds with cci mini mags. Also need to buy a mini torque wrench and properly torque the action screws, just cinched them up with a hex key for now.

Looks good. I considered recessing the skins to lower the action but wasn't worth the effort. As you've probably figured out once you put a scope on it and using the cheekpad you need mega high rings. So lowering the action woulda needed mega super high rings. Interesting linkage for the mag release. I've extended the ones on mine. Basically have a big ass paddle on the end that hangs down to the rear of the rounded cutout on the magwell on the skins to make it easier to access.

That is a good point about the scope mount height, I am pretty much stuck with AR height mounts (1.5). It was a lot of extra work getting the action to sit this low, I was mainly looking to get the trigger at a good height. I think if I were to do it again I'd probably try to split the difference.
