Good evening guys, first of all I apologize if this is not the appropriate area to post this but I desperately need the help.

I've had my Savage MKII TR for roughly 10 months and the bolt is having some problems. The guide pin is almost half sheared off from wear! I remember seeing a picture on here of another MKII bolt where the guide pin was completely sheared off.

I spoke with Savage directly twice and was told the first time that this part is going to wear and will need replaced. The second woman I spoke with said it shouldn't be wearing at all. I'm unsure if the matte finish on the TR bolts is to blame causing more friction during the cocking action, or perhaps it wasn't hardened properly? I have a guide pin on order from Savage but can't seem to find any information on how to disassemble the rear section of the bolt in order to replace the guide pin.

Any assistance would be immensely appreciated :]
