I am new to this forum and seeking some advice on a recent purchase and ideas for modifications. I recently purchased a Savage model 10 ba stealth in 6.5 creedmor. I mounted a vortex viper hslr 6-24-50 on top. I am seeking advice on different mods for turning this rifle into a more accurate piece of equipment with the understanding that the nut behind the trigger being the most important component. I plan to hand load for this application in addition to making modifications to the rifle. Thoughts??

I wouldn't mod anything right now. If the accutrigger isn't for you, maybe change it. But Just use your money on ammo/loading supplies and any reloading equipment that you may need instead of changing parts on the rifle, and shoot the crap out of it. That rifle should shoot great from the factory so you won't be limited by it.

In the future if you start feeling limited by the scope, upgrade it.

I like the glass thus far. The rifle has shot decent groups @ 100yds with match grade factory ammo. I am looking forward to finding the dope that the rifle likes regarding hand loads. I have been hand loading for my Savage 110LE 338 Lapua and have had great luck with grouping. The accutrigger has not bothered me thus far. I have considered a proof barrel for the rifle when the factory barrel expires.

Hi Jay - I have the same rifle. The only mod I made (other than adding a brake) was to swap that horrible FAB defense butt stock. I moved over to a Magpul PRS Gen 3 and like it a whole lot better.
