I know it's not the typical long range set up most of us on here are familiar with, but I've always had a sick fascination with Jeff Cooper's Scout Rifle concept. I stumbled onto a pretty good deal for a Savage Model 11 Scout. I wanted to know if anyone else had any input on these. So far I like the feel. I'm looking forward to putting some rounds through it. It has an aftermarket enlarged bolt handle and a Vortex Crossfire 2-7x32 duplex. Should be a sweet woods gun for here around Georgia. And for $550 with everything, I bit. I would like to swap the rings to a QD style to allow quick access to the irons in an emergency, and a nice leather Ching Sling.
