It works perfectly.
You will need to cut the spacer that comes with it. Without it, its to short and with it, its to long so you need to cut it to the right length.
Yes it works with the buffer tude
I thought jp hp bolt with the small firing pin would work but it didn't.
The firing pin is to long.
I did however put it in a Anderson AM 10 and it really helped. The primer cups don't flow back around the pin.
One thing I should have done before I got the jp scs was to get a Tubs buffer spring?! It may have worked just as good and then played with different buffer weights?
If I remember correctly the savage buffer spring is a flat wire spring and I should have tried heavier buffer weights with it?
I did however install it also in the AM10 and it worked really well for that rifle.
I would play around a little bit, if I had to do it again. Savage did work pretty hard to make this rifle right.
I just try to push it to its limits!
I'm running 175 RDF's to 2670 fps.
I haven't seen anyone running that fast in a 308 gas gun?
I'm not suggesting anyone do this because I could be way over pressure!
And my barrel could be fast?
