Savage New Model 64 Precision

I bought my daughter (9 at the time) the 64 FVSR which is essentially the same rifle in a more conventional stock. We've played around with a few different rounds, and it does well for her. It is by no means a "precision" rifle, no matter what stock you put it in. But it is fine for her and keeps her engaged and learning. I got a BSA Sweet 22 scope for her which has done well with teaching her bullet drop and such. Funny thing to note, the BEST ammo we found was some 25+ year old Winchester Wildcat 40 gr. It beat out all the Aguila, Eley and Fiocchi stuff we tried. Either way, it's a great starter rifle for a kid before spending more money on something they may not get into.
