Savage stealth

I bought a savage stealth 6.5 CM, shooting groups at 100 yards that will fit inside a dime and a 1/4" MOA at 400 yards but I'm noticing out of the ordinary horizontal scratches on the brass after firing and concerned if I should continue to reload with the brass. I'm thinking a bure was left inside the chamber. Anyone have the same issue with this rifle ?
