Has anyone handled a SCAR-H? How does it shoot? How does it compare to other semi .308s such as POF-308, AR-10, Repr, etc?s

Tried using both search engines. Didn't find anything?

    Thanks.

    Re: Scar-H

I've put about 600rds through one. No complaints other than the reciprocation of the charging handle. The weapon is accurate, but I have not shot it on paper, other than zeroing it, so I can't comment on group size you can expect. I have seen 1000m hits on 23 x 12'' targets, so it's accurate enough. It also stays really clean, so if you don't like to clean your in luck. It's nice to shoot suppressed and not have gas blowing in your face as well. It's way too expensive on the civilian market. If it where my money, I would buy a Larue OSR and deal with the cleaning. I have not shoot the Larue, but I would bet it's the nicer weapon. Maybe I'm wrong?

Forgot to add, I don't think it shoots as good as our M-110's.

    Re: Scar-H

We get the short and med barrels with our guns. No long barrels have been fielded to us yet. Both barrels will go the distance. Well, I have only gone 800m with the short barrel. I think it will make 1000 without too much fuss.

I dont think any are out commercially, (military/le I'm sure has them such as the other poster in this thread(?)). The Larue OSR (actuall now its the OBR), is now shipping in low numbers for 16.1" guns with the longer ones to follow next year.

    Re: Scar-H

I have not shot one, or held one.

From my friends that have. The feedback is simple.

    Rifle function = GREAT
    Rifle feel, use, = OK
    Rifle reliability = GREAT
Design concept and overall idea = Great

so take it for what its worth.
