Rifle Scopes scope base for Savage 10fcp

Hey guy, I just picked up a Savage 10fcp hs in .308win. I currently have a Falcon Menace 4-14x44 mil/mil FFP scope. I would like some opinions as to whether I should get a standard or 20moa scope base. I can really only shoot 100-500 yards on a regular basis, maybe 1k sometime in the future, but not often. Let me know what you think.

If there is ever a chance you will shoot past 500?if so go with the 20moa base......

I would like to be able to zero at 100 yards also.

You can obtain a 100 yard zero with a 20moa base.

I have an EGW 20 MOA base on my 10FP and have no problems zeroing at 100.

EGW 20 MOA base or the Warne bases seem to be very popular with the Savage crowd. Check on savageshooters.com for more recommendations.
