Scope Clearance question.

Hey gents,

Just finished mounting A NF with 56mm Bell on Ruger Precision Rimfire. I just noticed that their is slight contact with the hand guard. Being that this is only .22 do you guys foresee any issues this may cause?? Any info will be appreciated!

Even if it’s just a 22, it would bother me.

I’d go higher on the rings.

Thanks for the reply gents. I ended up just swapping scopes with one from another rifle. It's a "stepping stone" rifle for my 10 and 7 yr olds anyway so didn't want to keep dropping money for something they will likely move on from in less than a year.

Yeah I always known that to be true. The cheapskate in me was hoping to save a little $$$ hoping that I would hear differently since it was the hand guard (not the barrel and only a .22). I was still able to remedy the problem without more spending.

I would change it. I have the same gun and the handguard may flex a bit if you drop or smack the guard on something - resulting in your bell taking a good knock. Therefore, I would rotate those rings to a different gun.
