Re: scope dilemma....

I sent in my FFII 4.5-14 to have the knobs changed out to the Tac knobs. The problem is not the knobs. It's the erector assembly. It won't settle after adjustment, so it would take a few shots to figure out exactly where the rifle was pointed. Unacceptable.

Sightron makes some outstanding scopes in your price range. For just a *little* more, you can get a SIII LR. A phenomenal SFP scope. Call Scott at Liberty Optics. He'll help you get the right one. You might also look at the new Viper HS line from Vortex. Either way, call Scott. You'll thank me.

Re: scope dilemma....

A nice scope in that price range is the Bushnell Elite 6500 2-16x42. That will allow you to shoot 100 yards out to 1000. Its a great magnification range what will allow you to stretch out the field for your 308. If you're looking for higher magnification, the 6-24 PST might be a good way to go. Vortex has started their shipments on them.
