Rifle Scopes Scope Question HELP!

I am looking to buy a Nightforce scope , either the 15x or 22x and i cant decide which one to get. I am building rifle on a Mcmillan A-5 stock, badger USMC rings, Badger M5 bottom metal, Timney trigger, Badger Titanium recoil lug, surgeon rifles KMW bolt knob, Us Optics 20moa scope mount, Krieger MTU 26" Barrel, Badger FTE muzzle brake. I am really not going to be doing much shooting past 8ooyrds. I was also wondering will the Badger USMC rings (1.031 hight) be enough clearence for the 50mm obj. and Krieger MTU barrel?

I would get the 22x. You can always dial down from 22x to 15x with the 22x scope, but you can't dial up to 22x from the 15x scope.

It's always better to have and not use than to need and not have.

What caliber?

Also the 1" height rings will work fine. I have Nightforce 1" height rings with my 50mm Nightforce F1 on a Badger base and with a #7 barrel and there is plenty of room between the objective and barrel. The #7 is only slightly smaller than the MTU but there is plenty of room for a heavier barrel.
