Scope Questions

Should be picking up a new 1727-22 Annie with 22" medium weight barrel today or tomorrow. I was planning on getting a 2.5-25X March scope for it but can't decide if I should get the 42 or 52mm objective. I think the 42mm model would "fit" better on this rifle but I keep wondering how much I would be giving up not getting the 52mm objective. I'm an old retired guy and don't have the best vision. Anyone here compared the two different models? And any opinions on the MTR-4 reticle?

Another scope question I have is if you had two scopes with 52mm objectives but one was 3-15X and the other was 15-60X, if both are set at 15X how would the eyeboxes compare? Since the exit pupil number is the same, what would the difference be?

Check eye relief first. Next bolt clearance and objective to barrel. The best Scope is the one that fits. Leupold make a 3-9 a/o for rimfires. It will mount low enough. I am sure you are looking at scopes that may require a stock to accommodate the glass.

Thanks for all the advice so far. I have the 3-9x Leopold on my 10/22 and it's a nice scope for that rifle.

After picking up the 1727 this afternoon and looking at the gun, I'm leaning more toward the 42mm objective.
