I have a model 700 .260. What scopes would you consider? I am having to budget around 250 dollars. It will be mostly used for deer hunting!!

Vortex 2-7x32 Viper Rifle Scope is selling for 149.95 closeout price. Sweet deal for a hunting scope. It's a 300 dollar scope, and has good quality glass for its price range. I find you don't need anything more that a 2x7 or 3x9 for hunting big game. I now prefer 2x7.

I run 2-7 Monarchs on my two M7s. The 700 runs a 3-9 Monarch. My Savage Heavy gun gets the new SS 5-20. All 260 Rem.
Depends on the type of deer hunting you do. I don't feel handicapped with the 2-7. I haven't cranked it up past 6X the last 5 years at distances out to 300 yards.
I believe the Team Primos is the old 3-9 Monarch. Can be had for under $250.
