I have a Savage FV-SR going to put a bushnell 6-18x50mm on it. 1" tube Objective Diameter: 63mm
So I need help with ring height. I want it low as it can get to the barrel. Do I need rings that are 63mm high?
I was thinking about weaver tac rings here is the info on them
Ring Height: .280" (measured from base of ring to bottom of scope tube)

1" Medium: .280"
1" High: .400"
1" Extra-High: .520"
1" Ultra-High: .640

You need to tell us the distance between the top of the pic rail and the barrel. 63mm (2.480310) divided by 2 minus .5 = .7402. .7402 minus the height the pic rail over the barrel plus the clearance needed for the caps if any is your answer.
