Scope Rings?

I’ve always been a fan of buying the same brand as my scope, unless it’s for a big billy bad ass scope in which case I like spuhr mounts. So I would recommend you getting Vortex rings you will be more than happy

I just ordered a Vortex DiamondBack Tactial 4-16x44 (30mm). What is a good set of rings for this scope? Thanks.
I have a 44 mm objective Viper and used Leupold Mk 4 rings. They are called mediums because the don’t make a “low” but they are the lowest in steel that I could find at .84”.

this was important to me so as to be able to get in the box and still cheek the comb (actually still needed a cheek piece but lower was still better IMO).

Also, before someone brings up UTG being Chinese junk, the UTG Pros are made in the USA. I used a set on a Howa Oryx, coincidentally with my Vortex DB Tactical 4-16 also and the .98" high lows were good to go. Getting the scope as low as possible doesn't really matter in this day and age because the comb is adjustable, trying to go as low as possible doesn't net you anything.

Well, that would depend on it you have an adjustable comb, I should think. No? And if you do, then it would need to have sufficient adjustment.

in my case, I had to order the long KMW Loggerhead posts from Terry Cross even w my low rings.

Not as refined as some of those listed above, but SWFA rings have always aligned well for me and have always held securely.

If you decide to go Vortex make sure you get it from a regular dealer. I saw a set of rings at Bass Pro that had the made in China sticker on them ... no they weren't the pro version

That's why they were made in china. Not because of where you bought them.

What height would you all recommend?
You want to get this right the first time.

The only way to do so is to get a set of low, mediums, and highs from some place that will let you return for refund. Try all three, keep the one that gives you the most natural and comfortable head and eye position behind the scope, return the other two.

Ignore anyone who says get "this height". They have no fucking clue what you need because this is a very personal choice.
