After several weeks of comparing performance and reading reviews of optics within my budget I have narrowed down the options to two manufacturers and FFP three scopes. However,I have little experience with the exact models listed. My use is target shooting on a .308 out to 600m. Any input is appreciated.
In no particular order:
#1 Bushnell DMR/FFP (3.5-21x): Initially my primary choice. The reviews seem very solid, despite questions about optical clarity at the higher magnifications. However, I may be putting too much stock the G2 reticle and in some respects it's 34mm tube is more trouble than it's worth to me.
#2 Bushnell ERS/FFP (6-24x): For a price comparison I'm trying to sort out what this optic doesn't do in respect to the DMR? Similar power range, G2 reticle, decent reviews and such, I get a comparable scope at a lower cost.
#3 Leupold M4-ERT/FFP/M5 (8.5-25x): The only issue counting against Leupold is the TMR reticle, which in comparison to the G2 is less capable but all things considered I'm not certain whether it matters.
Anyone with input or direct experience between any of these models ?
Thanks.
