Scope slipping

I was looking at my rifle the other day and noticed scratch marks on my scope from where I assume the recoil has moved it.

Now, my question is do I just leave it where it is and possibly locktite the screws or move it back to where it was?

I would verify that you're properly torquing the ring screws, to what the manufacturer specifies, rather than looking to loctite.

I'd move it back to confirm the reticle is still plumb/level, and you have sufficient eye relief.

I've thought about remounting the scope so the eye relief is perfect for me. (It came already mounted when I bought it and haven't changed it yet)

I would remove the scopoe and run a lapping bar through the rings to make sure you have proper contact of rings and scope. If nothing else, it would give you peace of mind.

Sometimes it can be the quality of the rings. My Burris XTR's backed out regardless of what I did, until I used Loctite.

They are Badger Ord. rings.
