Long range hunting newbie here, I bought a Weatherby Mark V Carbonmark Elite in 6.5-300 wby mag for getting into longer range hunting. The round sounded like so much of a hot rod I really wanted to try it out. Just struggling with scope selection. Farthest I plan to engage is 600 yards, but I will also be using it for whitetail in Missouri with ranges as low as 100yards. It would be cool to take to the range to see if I can touch out to 1000 though. I'm wanting to stay under $2500 for the scope, as much as I want a Schmidt & Bender lol. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
